Every material has its function, it depends on the usage environment. Graphite is a form of carbon where the atoms are arranged in layers or sheets and is generally used in high temperature and high pressure environments, also commonly finds applications in steam cycling or exhaust applications.
Graphite has a low friction surface and great advantage to resist high pressures and temperatures. Excellent flexibility is also an advantage of graphite, it can endure the heat up to 450 Celsius.
Graphite is commonly used in manufacturing cylinder head gasket, exhaust gasket and DPF gasket and we could customize gasket materials for you.
