The Oil coolant system dissipates extra heat from an internal combustion engine while transporting oil away from moving parts into the oil pan. The oil cooler gasket is part of the oil coolant system and it keeps oil from leaking before it has a chance to perform its job inadequately lubricating the engine and making oil re-circulated throughout your engine at the optimal temperature. When the seal fails, it can cause serious problems.
Therefore, we recommend also replacing its gaskets while replacing the oil cooler. Metal bonded with rubber and graphite is the most common material used in oil cooler gaskets.
